The conditions on which this independent note about one Android game is published.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to modbrief.com. By reading the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, the remedy is to close the page: nothing is installed on your device, nothing is charged and there is no account to cancel.

2. What this site is

modbrief.com is an editorial note about one Android game, Wolf Jigsaw Puzzles. It describes how the app behaves and gives an opinion about it. Session lengths, difficulty judgements and the remarks in the comparison table are the view of the person who wrote them, formed on one handset over a few weeks, and reasonable people will disagree with some of them.

The site sells nothing, carries no advertising and takes no payment for a mention. It is not a shop, not a download source and not an app store: the game itself is obtained from Google Play, under Google's own terms.

3. No affiliation

This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to Google, to Google Play, or to yojigsaw.com, the developer of Wolf Jigsaw Puzzles. Product names, app titles and store listings are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective owners.

4. Accuracy of the figures quoted

The rating of 4.5, the count of 1,630 ratings and the figure of more than 100,000 installs were read from the Google Play listing for the Australian store at the time of writing. Store figures move. If a number here no longer matches the listing, write to the address in section 10 and it will be corrected or removed.

5. Intellectual property

The app icon and the two photographs shown on this site belong to the developer of the game and to the rights holders whose work the game uses. They appear here for the purpose of description and comment. The written text, the layout, the stylesheet and the structure of these pages belong to Matilda Wilson.

You may quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from. Republishing a page in full, or reusing its layout as a template, is not permitted without written permission. If you hold rights in an image reproduced here and want it taken down, write and it will be removed promptly.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not interfere with the operation of the site, attempt to reach any part of the server that is not published, request pages at a rate that degrades the service for other readers, or present the text of this site as your own work.

7. Links to other sites

Links to Google Play and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner are offered for convenience. Those destinations are outside the control of this site and their content is the responsibility of their operators.

8. Disclaimer, and guarantees that cannot be excluded

The information here is provided as it stands, without a warranty that it is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose. Any decision you make after reading it is your own.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, condition, warranty, right or remedy that applies under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) and that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability may lawfully be limited, it is limited to supplying the information again.

9. Liability

Subject to section 8, and to the extent permitted by law, Matilda Wilson is not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of this site or from reliance on anything published on it.

10. Complaints before any proceedings

If you have a complaint, send it in writing to desk@modbrief.com, describing the passage at issue and what you would like changed. A written answer will follow. Both parties agree to attempt to settle the matter in this way before commencing proceedings.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales and by the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. The courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any right you may have to bring proceedings elsewhere under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The version that applies is the one published on this page, carrying the date at the top.
